Science Force

Biography:

In 1996 Daniele De Rossi founded the "Science Force" project and released both vinyl and CD productions for several Italian and foreign labels. By moving in an extremely natural way among breakbeat, drum&bass and dub towards more extreme territories of jazz and electronic music, Science Force offers unique compositions, where rhythm mix up with ethereal melodies, a sort of osmosis between light and shadow. Thanks to the electronic elements, sampling and to its most important analogical modular synthesizers, Science Force creates a new explosive mix. "Rhapsody" was the first release of Science Force, published by Irma Records, which was enthusiastically welcomed by the English press and also by several American and European DJs. Soon after this first release a remix by "Freedom or not" followed, covering "Freedom", J-Hendrix famous single of 1986. In 1998 Irma records decided to release the debut album "Escape from smoke", that proved very successful and licensed the Science Force tracks on more than 30 compilations distributed all over the world. This little success caught the attention of the international critics and became a point of reference for the club-culture of that time. After this latter release, an important cooperation with the Link club in Bologna followed. Worthy to be mentioned are the tracks included in MixtophoniaÕs compilations. Recently a book by Federico Capone has been presented on Stampa Alernativa, including the CD "Hip Hop Raggae Dance Elettronica" containing two (yet) unreleased tracks by Daniele De Rossi.
